Midweek Challenge Throwdown OWH February 17, 2011

The Midweek Challenge Throwdown  for Stars and Stripes was a “Masculine” card.  I have been planning on doing a few St Patrick’s cards and thought I would go with a “Masculine” theme here.

1st attempt~ Not Love~It’s kinda boring and the color of the stamp didn’t show up as much as I would have liked.  Can you even see the little leprechaun?

2nd attempt~  Getting closer!  The sizing was not right.  I used a larger card and the focal point kind of fell apart.

3rd Attempt!  Success! The right mix of color, sentiment and focal point.    I think this card is really cute unfortunately the ribbon has some sparkles on it so it won’t be heading to the troops but it will be heading to my family.
