Superbowl~ Fun, Friends and FOOD! February 7, 2011

Liza and Josh hosted a Superbowl party at their new home.  The house lends itself well to a TV related party with a great room open kitchen and livingroom floor plan.  I love their new house .  There was plenty of room for people to sit and watch the big game. (or watch the commercials)

 The Hosts.

They had the bar counter set up and all the beer on the back deck.  Josh had a few different types of Sam Adams and was enjoying his own beer tasting party.

Ok, now the food.  There was a ton of tasty treats for everyone.  The 6 foot sub was a real crowd pleaser.  Liza accompanied it with some pasta salad.

We feasted on a few different chips and dips including Spinach Dip, Buffalo Chicken Dip (Recipe to follow) and Guacamole and salsa dip.  All were fabulous.

The Buffalo Chicken dip was a little spicy and lent itself well to a few delicious  Blue Moons.  I think this might be my new favorite beer.  I also bought a sampler and really liked the Winter Abbey Ale but didn’t care for the Belgian Pale.

Another friend of Liza’s brought a Baked Brie wrapped in crescent roll.   She served it with pears and crackers.  It was sooooooooooo good.  I think everything should be wrapped in crescent roll.

At half time Josh made some chicken wings  and tossed them in some Franks red hot.  He cooked the wings on the grill and they had a nice smokey flavor.

I made the poppers and I actually forgot to get a picture of them.  Shoot!

The “Canadians” as Liza called them made some great looking cookies.  They used the M & M colors of the Stealers and Green Bay.  Such a cute idea.   It was a wonderful party with lots of food and great friends.  Thanks Liza and Josh for hosting Superbowl XLV!

I totally agree. Everything should be wrapped in a crescent roll.
