Mayflower Martini – The Met Bar and Grill January 30, 2011

While waiting for a table at PF Changs on “Date Night”  me and Ron ran downstairs to the The Met Bar and Grill to  have a cocktail.   I ordered the “Mayflower Martini”~  Kettle One Vodka, St. Germain, Chambord, and White Cranberry Juice.    I must remember this concoction for Columbus Day. ~Get It? Mayflower!  (also our wedding anniversary weekend)

Ok, so why is this a “Mayflower” and what is St.  Germain?

St. Germain is an artisanal French liqueur made from hand-picked elderflower blossoms. The starry white flowers are gathered by 40-50 men pedaling the Alpen French countryside picking the flowers that will be distilled into this intoxicating nectar. Blended with a small amount of citrus and natural cane sugar to accentuate the subtle flavor of the elderflowers, the resulting liqueur is delicate and balanced with fresh floral aromas and flavors and hints of pear, apricot and grapefruit zest.

Drinking and Learning is FUN.
